1: California Missions Trail Tours
The missions of California represent a dynamic chapter of California’s history. The Spanish padres built 21 missions that span over the California coastline. You can tour the first mission in San Diego de Alcala that started the trail on July 16th, 1769 and end at San Francisco Solano that was founded on July 4th, 1823.
2: West Coast Volcanic Site Tour
Take a road trip along the volcanic ranges scattered along the northern west coast. You can stop at all the historic volcanic monuments and national parks to learn each volcano’s history and even get a chance to climb to some of their peaks. On your journey, you can check out Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lava Beds National Monument, Crater Lake, Mt. Rainier National Park, and Mount St. Helens Volcanic Monument.
3: Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail and Park Tour
Between May 1804 and September 1806, the famous pair led an expedition that traveled from the plains of the Midwest to the shores of the Pacific Ocean in search for water. Their trail has visitor and interpretive centers along the route which goes through Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota and Washington. 4: National Mall and Memorial Parks Tour
